Coinbase Raised LTC Confirmations from 12 to 27. No Announcement.
Coinbase has quietly raised the number of Litecoin block confirmations required for deposits to settle — from 12 to approximately 27. The change appears to follow the April 2026 13-block chain reorganization. In November 2019, when Coinbase previously raised LTC confirmations from 6 to 12, they published a blog post explaining the change. This time, there was no announcement.
- Coinbase now requires ~27 LTC block confirmations before deposits complete
- Previous threshold: 12 confirmations (set in November 2019 after 51% attack concerns)
- Original threshold: 6 confirmations (standard LTC)
- No public blog post or announcement was made about this change
- Change timing aligns with April 2026's 13-block MWEB reorg
